- Battle head-to-head with as many as four players via the DS wireless capability (multiple game cards required)
- Dual screen support: The lower screen is the main play screen. The upper screen will display the rest of the map, so you can now see how far down you have drilled.
- DS exclusive! Escape the Earth Destroyer Drill in Pressure Mode. You're on the bottom screen, with the the humongous E.D.D. bearing down on you from above!
- Go underground with Time Attack and Race modes.
- Unlock various playable DRILLERS in the Mission mode. |

Endless Tokyo Dristone Driller level
Successfully complete Dristone Driller to unlock Tokyo as an endless level.
Outer Space level
Unlock all Drillers by completing all levels in mission mode to unlock the Outer Space level. Note:
This is an endless level. In the European version of the game, successfully complete "The Moon" level in
mission mode.
South Pole level (European version)
Successfully complete all levels except Outer Space in mission mode to unlock the South Pole level.
Note: This is an endless level.
Play as Puchi
Successfully complete the Japan level in mission driller mode to unlock Puchi.
Play as Usagi (Japanese version)
Unlock all characters, then successfully complete the 2000m Moon level again with Ataru. A black rabbit
(Usagi) will appear on the top screen. Successfully complete the stage to unlock Usagi as the middle character
on the selection screen.
Mirror time attack mode
Successfully complete levels A through J in time attack mode to unlock mirror time attack mode.
Mr. Driller Badge
Successfully complete a Mission Driller mode level without using any items or losing a life. Note: The
Outer Space level does not have a badge since it is endless.
Alternate title screen
A flower will appear at the title screen when each of the following levels are completed. A seventh flower
will appear after all previous six flowers have been unlocked.
Earth in Mission Driller mode.
Moon in Mission Driller mode.
Japan in Time Attack Driller mode.
Reverse Japan in Time Attack Driller mode.
All levels in Dristone Driller mode.
All levels in Pressure Driller mode.
